Immediate loading in edentulous patient: The ANKYLOS Implant System

Thema

Purpose

The aim of this work is to evaluate the ANKYLOS Implant System for an immediate loading rehabilitation on maxilla periodontally compromise.

Material and methods

The patient, male, smoker, in good health, was treated with insertion of 10 ANKYLOS implants after teeth extraction and immediate loading. After Tc Cone Beam, the surgery was performed under local anesthesia. Only 8 ANKYLOS implants were placed with a inserting torque over 35 Nc and their measures were 3,5 mm of diameter and 11,5-13 mm of lenght. Six implants were placed in the frontal area. Two implants had no torque for immediate loading.

Results

No implants were lost. After six months a final rehabilitation with 10 ceramic crowns was performed, one for each implant. No relevant complications were noted.

Zusammenfassung:

The  ANKYLOS Implant System represents a valid procedure for the rehabilitation in edentulous patients and its components are ideal structures for the immediate loading.
